How to display your own list in a selection screen? By Andy Shi

 

In some circumstances you may need to create your personal list when selecting entries for a field instead of displaying all possible entries for this selection screen, e.g. you are only working for a special product group of materials. Your company might have several hundreds of materials, but only a few of them are important for your work. In this case it can be a hassle to find the right entry out of hundreds or thousands of displayed lines. Another application field is you just want to print a list of special material master data.

 

I am showing you how to create and manage your "personal list" in the following example of the material master data. This is a general feature to find in SAP and can be used for many fields with a selection variant.

 

For Example, type in MM02 to enter into below view:

 

Click ,and list below will be shown.

 

First, select the material with the cursor, than Click, to choose the material for the "personal list". You can repeat this for several materials one by one.

 

Then, Clickin the above picture, it’ll show you all the materials which you choosed before as your "Personal list". This list keeps active as long as you delete the entries of the list.

 

Wenever you look up again in this transaction code and field selection list, it’ll show the materials which you choosed before.

 

Whenever you want to see the total list of materials, Clickin the above picture, and then all materials will be shown in the below picture.
